I haven’t been to Paris in many years. So, I was very delighted that this year’s TEAM event was set to take place in Paris. I arrived a bit earlier and stayed a bit longer – all together at the place of a friend of mine.
Well organised by Elias we had a full program starting Friday night with dinner at a traditional French bistro. On Saturday we did everything: walking through Paris’ old town led by Elias himself, boat tour on the Seine with Bateaux Mouches (www.bateaux-mouches.fr), macarons & chocolate (www.patrickroger.com), chilling in the park, fantastic French wine tasting (www.o-chateau.com) & a fantastic dinner at Le Perchoir (leperchoir.fr).
If you are interested in wine in general & French wine in particular, O-Chateau is the place to go – and the sommelier who led the tasting was not only very knowledgeable but also capable of explaining his knowledge to the curious amateur wine connoisseur.
Le Perchoir has an interesting and very delicious concept: there is only one menu for everyone depending on which fresh ingredients the chef got on the market that morning. The courses contain several different components each which offer new aromas, unconventional combination of flavours, a surprise with every bite. All courses was absolutely fabulous, however – you would have guessed – dessert was my favourite.
