Morcote, Ticino, Switzerland (Day 2 – Part 2)

Morcote is a beautiful little village at the lakefront Lake Lugano. It’s considered “the Pearl of Ceresio” which is the old name of Lake Lugano. Last time I’ve been to Morcote a few years ago, I hiked from Lugano along the crest for about 3 hrs – which is btw. a beautiful walk. This time we came on the coach. We also visited Parco Scherrer, a museum park with beautiful lush sub-tropical vegetation which makes you feel like you’ve left Switzerland a while ago and many statues. It was created by Hermann Arthur Scherrer who wanted create a magic place where he could recover and recharge in between his travels.
