Wieliczka Salt Mine, Poland

On my last day in Krakow, I went on a guided tour to the Wieliczka Salt Mine about 15km outside Krakow. It’s an UNESCO World Heritage site since 1978. It showcases traditional mining equipment and the process of mining in kind of a museum along your way down into the mine. You descend along many hundreds of steps and walk around 2km into the mine. One of the highlights is definitely the big chamber with all it’s huge chandeliers and wall stone carvings.
